Aviv (“Aviv”) (NYSE: AVI) is a self-administered real estate investment trust, or REIT, whose focus is owning, acquiring and developing healthcare properties, principally skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). The company’s revenues are generated by entering into long-term triple-net leases with qualified local, regional and national operators throughout the U.S. As of June 30, 2008, the Aviv portfolio consisted of 157 properties with 15,274 licensed beds in 20 states leased to 32 operators.
